The Art of Rick Catizone and Anivision LTD Paperback – June 25, 2024

This book is a peek behind the curtain at how I created animation and special effects for movies, television specials, music videos, and commercials. Over 300 photos show the work and the methodologies, with large sections dedicated to the feature films Creepshow, Creepshow 2, and Evil Dead 2. Another chapter deals with my original movie treatment called NightFind, which I just turned into a childrens book. You'll find animation drawings, model sheets, finished cel setups. armatures, puppets, and more. I was first inspired by the great comic artists like Jack Kirby, Hal Foster, Alex Raymond, Frank Frazetta, and Joe Kubert. Then in high school by Ray Harryhausen and his animated creature films. Ray is the main reason I decided to make animation my career. Disney's Nine Old Men and Glen Keane were also inspirations. Many fans I meet at convention appearances ask about all the comic pages in Creepshow and Creepshow 2. Well, almost all of them are included so you can study them more closely.
