This listing is for a vintage 1985 calendar given out by the First State Bank in Socorro, New Mexico. This was a big deal at the time. July 1, 1947, was a “red letter“ day in Socorro, New Mexico. After 21 years of not having a bank, the opening of First State Bank brought a new outlook for Socorro and Socorro County. The First State Bank was founded by a group of farsighted Socorro, businessmen and livestock producers filled with community spirit. This calendar is in two parts. It also depicts a reproduction print of “The Heeler” from the original painting by Ted Long.
It measures 23.5 inches high by 30 inches wide.
The calendar has a big tear at the top and several on the left side. The back also has some staining and dirt.
Please look at pics as they are considered part of the description. You will receive the exact item shown in the photos.

This would be a great vintage piece of advertising to frame and put in a western themed restaurant!
