About Course

Do you feel that you lack the tools for manifesting your full potential, or that you are living more for others than yourself? Are you interested in the meeting of yoga and science, and open to learning how ancient wisdom can be used in modern times?

This 7-week journey integrates yogic wisdom with modern neuroscience to cultivate what we in sanskrit refers to as shakti. The word “shakti” can best be translated as “potential”. It refers to our ability to live in accordance with who we truly are, and not what we think others want us to be. When we have shakti, we are truthful, nakedly ourselves, no matter the circumstances or consequences. When our shakti is strong, we are able to create the life we want, and to withstand stress and resistance without letting it affect us.

You will also be led on a journey of inner discovery, where we will find our svadharma, or personal fate. The sanskrit word svadharma refers to our true nature. In vedic philosophy, each human soul carries a unique spiritual signature, or mission we perform on behalf of the divine intelligence behind all of creation. Finding and doing our svadharma means to live a life in complete harmony with truth, where there is no disharmony between our spiritual beliefs and material lives.

This is all about power, in the pure, true sense of that word. Spiritual power refers to an inner state of alignment – our bodies, minds and energies are working in cooperation and harmony. Most people live with inner disharmony, wherein the different parts of the psyche are sabotaging and working against each other. Our bodies hold on to trauma and defense mechanisms that taps on our personal energy, and holds us back.

Confidence refers to faith in oneself. This faith is not ungrounded, but based on self-respect. If we know ourselves to be strong, resilient and reliable, nobody can take this away from us. When we are established in truth internally, and have a clear, ordered and respectful relationship to ourselves, we become truly powerful, capable of withstanding resistance and moving mountains.

This is not an education as much as a revelation. During these seven weeks, you will be reintroduced to your personal power, your shakti. You will purify your relationship to truth, and learn how yogic practice can increase your self-respect, and how discipline is the highest expression of self-love.

Through meditation and yoga, we will become conscious of how we sabotage our own happiness and power, and learn how we can align our energies to become like lazer-beams of manifestation. You will learn about the Vedic concept of sva-dharma, or personal fate, and how you unconditionally and undistractedly can live your life in accordance with divine law.

This training will increase your resilience – your ability to withstand stress. It will boost your confidence, increase your self-respect, and dramatically upgrade your capacity for self-love. You will leave the training feeling stronger, more authentic, more capable and less insecure.

If you are ready to let go of everything that is not truly you, then this yogic training is for you!

About the course:

Each week will combine physical yoga for increasing strength, resilience and confidence with concepts from Vedic philosophy and meditative techniques. Participants will receive a weekly list of sanskrit terms, homework and questions for reflection, all meant to together facilitate a deep inner change. Each week will also contain insights into the mechanism of the human nervous system, and how this aligns with traditional yogic wisdom.

Recordings from the classes will be made available for all participants after each class, and each week will contain a text with sanskrit terms and their meanings, in addition to homework and questions for personal reflection.

Students will also, during week 7, be offered to take a philosophical and practical examination that would – if passed – permit them to teach the material taught in the course.
