About Course

We spend our lives running from pain. Look at your everyday existence — truthfully. How much time each day is spent avoiding discomfort? When you put on a podcast on your way home from work, or look at your phone during your lunch break, what are you distracting yourself from?

A man can spend his life in only two ways. He can either flee from pain, or embrace it. Most people’s jobs, relationships, hobbies, spiritual practices, and plans for the future are mitigations of the former — strategies we believe will remove discomfort. They work for a short period. At some point, however, pain returns. We respond by finding a new distraction: a glass of wine, a visit to Pornhub, a new show on Netflix, the optimal diet, a new partner, a yoga class. They are all the same — band-aids that distract us from feeling.

There is another way. We can choose to be average, and waste our short lives on survival and distraction — avoiding pain like coked-up hamsters. Or we can choose to embrace it.

If pain and discomfort are something you willingly move toward — something you voluntarily expose yourself to — life changes. Evolution, spiritual and biological, requires adaptation to challenge. Those who willingly step into discomfort do not remain ruled by fear. How can the voice of anxiety influence you if you have already walked into the deepest darkness by choice?

Meeting pain voluntarily, in both body and mind, changes us radically. It rewires the dopamine circuits in our brains, cutting addictive ties. This recalibration makes us less needy, more self-reliant, and more resilient. The embrace of discomfort reveals who we truly are. Yogis have always known this.

When we stop running from loneliness, bitterness, laziness, anger, and insecurity — and instead learn to sit with them without giving in to the instinct to distract — something shifts. We see clearly that we are more than our thoughts. There is something in us that transcends fear, untouched by insecurity and immune to anger. Most people never reach that place, tragically, because they never dare to sit through darkness and move through fear.

This event is NOT for those people.

In this VIRYA workshop, we will face pain and embrace discomfort. We will stir up the deepest patterns of the mind and let fear wash over us until only the self remains. We will challenge the body to the point where raw instinct takes over, and we are filled with unfiltered power.

This workshop represents a radical break from the comfort and distraction most of us call life. We will meet our true nature and experience the fullness of power by forcing it to reveal itself — using discomfort as our tool rather than our enemy.

Attending this workshop is a recalibration of life as a whole — a radical experience that reveals your strength and exposes the self-limiting patterns of your mind. We will employ yogic technologies, pain-threshold practices, and radical meditation techniques. You will be both supported and challenged by the group, and held through the entire process.

The group is limited to TEN PARTICIPANTS. This journey is intimate and powerful. A smaller group ensures depth, safety, and space for each man.
