About Course
Virya (vīrya – वीर्य) is a Sanskrit term that describes a special energy unique to men. It is the essence of the masculine life force, and how much virya we manage to cultivate in ourselves determines how much access we have to life force.
The yogic tradition (yoga śāstra – योग शास्त्र) contains detailed knowledge about sexuality (kāma tattva – काम तत्त्व) and how to cultivate and manage your own life force. Most men, due to lifestyle and unconscious mental patterns (vāsanā – वासना), are unaware of the potential of their vital energy. If we treat this energy correctly, we can use it to facilitate deep transformation – physically, emotionally, energetically and spiritually. We become far better lovers, as well as stronger, happier and more focused.
Sexual energy (kāmāgni – कामाग्नि) is the most powerful and intelligent force we carry. If we relate to it with wisdom, we can use it to heal, drastically increase energy, focus, strength, joy and memory, as well as break down barriers in life.
Based on Tibetan inner alchemy (nang jor), and the sister sciences of yoga and ayurveda (आयुर्वेद), this series explores the journey from unconscious, ejaculation-driven sexuality towards the mastery of virya – the essence of masculine essence (rasa-rāja – रस-राज).
In addition to gaining a solid theoretical understanding of what virya is, you will also experience the profound changes that take place in your body and mind when virya is consciously increased and allowed to circulate. Consciously accessing this energy is truly life-changing.
Most men live with chronically low testosterone levels and diminished vitality. Modern society teaches us a very unhealthy and unconscious relationship with our own sexuality and vital energy, where we drain ourselves of life force – and consider it healthy, natural and normal. More and more men are involuntarily single, struggling with a lack of drive (icchā śakti – इच्छा शक्ति), feeling insecure with the feminine (śakti – शक्ति), and replacing an authentic, vibrant connection with the world around them with loneliness and distraction (moha – मोह).
